This one actually shocks me a little bit, because it comes from a Southern State, and it actually doesn’t do gay people harm!
A bill in the Virginia Senate
was killed on the 3rd. The bill was aimed at disallowing school property use for clubs that “encouraged promiscuity.” Even the Republicans in the Virginia Senate didn’t buy it, and killed the bill, voting 9 to 6.
The motto of the “Gay Straight Alliance” is “Empowering Youth Activits to Fight Homophobia and Transphobia”. It’s not “to get laid”. the sponsor of the bill, Matthew Lohr, should go to one of the meetings himself…except it’s people like him that the Gay Straight Alliance is trying to “show the light” to, and based on his proposed legislation and reasoning, he’s pretty happy being in the dark ages.
