Alan Keys’ daughter is an out, proud Lesbian. And for standing up and being herself, Keys and his wife threw their daughter out of their home, refuse to pay for her college or expenses, and have disowned her.
Maya Keys supported her father, and even took time to work on his campaigns. Even when she didn’t agree with his politics, she knew that it was important because he was family. But the “moral man” has decided to reward that family with ridicule and scorn.
Maya, you deserve a family that loves and cares for you. I just know that the Gay and Lesbian community can put her through college ourselves. The Point Foundation has decided to fund Maya’s school itself — as it does for students who have been marginalized and disowned because of their sexual orientation.
