It looks like the security problems of Diebold and other election software companies are going to be put on the National stage, because the Secretary of State of California, Bruce McPherson, has asked the federal government to investigate security flaws. This is after Black Box Voting put forth the offer to arrange for a security consultant to break into the software themselves.

Any for-profit company should NOT control the counting of votes, especially where no paper trail is involved!
