Senator Harry Reid, preparing for his upcoming bill that he will present jointly with Nancy Pelosi in the House, has banned his staff from taking ANYTHING from a lobbyist. Sure you can meet with them, but take nothing!
Expect “The Honest Leadership Act” to be proposed Wednesday — with Democrats behind it and Republicans against it. That’s because the Democratic version of the bill will be *mandatory*, whereas after the Republicans kill it and put their own bill forward, it’ll be a suggestion.
