This is pretty awful… In writing his 22 page dissent of the Arizona SB 1070 “Papers, please!” law, Supreme Court Justice Scalia actually cited pro-slavery laws that excluded freed blacks to justify his opinion.
Seriously.
So it seems Scalia is still of the mind that whites can still own blacks, if he’s citing that kind of law precedent. It’s pretty disgusting. And if I had to argue a case in front of the Supreme Court, I would insist that Scalia recuse himself.
Better yet, he needs to retire, and stop inflicting his horrid beliefs on America.
