Okay – first off, I have to say I am a little disappointed. Though I live in Oregon, I work in downtown Kansas City, Missouri (which makes for a hell of a commute!). A little while ago, there was a commotion across the street. Turns out Obama is in town now, hunkered down in the hotel across the street from my office building. There are black SUVs, police, and Secret Service people everywhere.
Why am I disappointed? You see, Obama isn’t holding any public events here in KC. Even though this is a swing state, and even though he will win the vote here in Kansas City, and even though it would be a great idea to help shore up some support, the only event he is holding here is a private event, invitation only.
Missed opportunity, Senator Obama. Maybe next time!
