Well anyone who has a clue knows why this story is news. What’s surprising about John Ashcroft recursing himself at all from the investigation into who named Valerie Plame as a CIA operative. According to Robert Novack, a high level White House official named Valerie Plame as an act of revenge. Why? Because her husband proved that George Bush lied to the American people about Iraq trying to get uranium from Niger. Word has it that it’s Karl Rove who named her. And Karl Rove worked for and with John Ashcroft for twenty years.
This is the first time that I actually have something to agree with something Ashcroft has done.
